**The Opportunity**

As a dedicated Program Manager Lead, you will facilitate and is responsible for the execution and delivery of moderately to highly sophisticated, specific, incremental work efforts intended to accomplish business goals and objectives within prescribed timeframes, scopes, and budgets. Demonstrates an expert understanding of how activities contribute to the achievement of strategic business goals, operational objectives, and program-level requirements. + Removes obstacles and impediments to ensure business and operational objectives are met.

+ Develops, tracks, and maintains work effort(s) budgets that may include vital capital expenditures, operational expenses, and labor funding requirements.

+ Manages ambiguity and consistently seeks to drive clarity amongst work effort(s) collaborators.

+ Defines the control and the overall delivery of the work efforts to meet the goals, objectives, and success criteria.

+ Establishes overall cadence for communication with impacted collaborators and provides framework for underlying work efforts(s) communication plans.

+ Identifies and determines interdependencies of work within work effort(s).

+ Participates in work effort(s) closure activities to determine benefit / business impact realization to include retrospective management.

+ Proactively manages risk by using work efforts management practices to address execution challenges associated with quality, schedule and cost and supports escalation to resolve.

+ Drives adoption and challenges standards. Leads subject matter experts.

+ Drives the adoption and sustainment of changes within the organization in compliance with USAA’s Change Management methodology.

+ Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

**What you have:**

+ Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.

+ 8 years of relevant experience in project or program management, including planning, tracking and delivery.

+ Expert knowledge of project management tools and methodologies.

+ Experience on project and program management and execution experience delivering complex work efforts working with recognized program and/or project methodologies (e.g., Waterfall and Agile).

+ Collaboration skills in a matrixed environment including providing consultative mentorship to help solve enterprise level issues.

**Summary**

Directly responsible for managing the planning, coordination of design, engineering and procurement activities on high-value, high-visibility and multi-year utility electrical substation projects delivering power ranging from 500 kV to 69 kV. Ensures projects are consistent with SRP’s design, cost, schedule and quality criteria, and safety values. **What You'll Do**

+ Responsible for project management activities of substation facilities ranging from 500kV to 69kV in support of planned system improvements, generator and transmission interconnections, and industrial customers.

+ Project management activities may consist of planning, coordination of detailed design activities, engineering and procurement activities. This includes directing, assigning, and prioritizing project work plans to meet project objectives and milestones.

+ Manages, oversees, and coordinates all aspects of project activities supported by a matrix team consisting of internal departments and external consultants/contractors with responsibilities such as engineering, civil construction, physical electrical construction, protection, and control construction, testing and commissioning. Serves as a single point of contact with external design contractors.

+ Supports development of study reports, work scope, bill of materials, constructability plans, request for proposals, specifications, and contract documents.

Promotion to Level 2 requires a minimum of two years of experience at Level 1; demonstrated capability to perform advanced and more difficult work as determined by the supervisor. Promotion to Senior Level requires a minimum of three years of experience at Level 2; is fully competent in all aspects of functional area of assignment and as such would be recognized as a specialist in area of assignment and may have periodic or occasional lead responsibilities.

Operations Strategy & Capital (OS&C) is seeking a Project Manager. The candidate will oversee and manage the lifecycle (from inception to completion) and operational aspects of projects, and liaises between project management and planning, project team, and cross functional management.
