**Position Overview**

The Field Service Technician – Level 3 will report to the Regional Support Manager and will be responsible for the service and maintenance of either multiple product lines that the GCD service team supports or a high-speed inkjet product line. This level technician will demonstrate a full working knowledge of the product lines they support including theory of operation as well as the mechanics. This position will require travel throughout the United States.

The preferred location of this position is the **Chicagoland area** .

**Job Description**

**Responsibilities**

+ Monitor critical accounts and actively participate in support activities to accomplish quick and effective problem resolution

+ Analyze and evaluate equipment performance

+ Install and remove equipment and systems as required

+ Install required modifications and engineering changes to ensure that the equipment is within specifications and to maximize customer productivity

+ Perform pre-installation assessment and site inspection on equipment in accordance with equipment requirements

+ Provide customer phone support as needed

+ Provide technical support to other technicians as needed

+ Provide sales assistance in demos and/or customer visits

+ Working with the scheduler team, manage and perform preventative maintenance on trained equipment

+ Work closely with and develop strong business relationships with the customer and client personnel

+ Complete all required reporting procedures related to the maintenance and repair of the equipment

+ Completes all required administrative tasks in an accurate and timely manner.

+ Accounts for all time and activity by recording information through the proper tracking system.

+ Monitor and manage the return of all parts

+ Attend training classes and develop necessary knowledge and skills to service GSD supported equipment and to advance to a level 4 position

+ Weekend work and overtime required as needed for installations, service calls and training

+ Communicate technical and escalated issues to the Regional Service Manager and Technical Service Manager

+ Perform related duties as assigned by manager

**Required Skills/Education**

+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent (12 years of progressive experience) in electromechanical or Graphics Arts technology discipline

+ HS Diploma or GED

+ 5 or more years of field service experience with industry related product lines

+ Working knowledge of electronics or 2+ years field territory assigned experience

+ Computer skills with emphasis on operating systems and hardware.

+ Possess necessary skills/attributes to include excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), working knowledge of Microsoft applications and outstanding customer service

+ Ability to work with cross functional teams

+ Strong analytical and research capabilities to evaluate opportunities and challenges and uncover new consumer insights.

+ Requires a valid state driver's license (Real ID compliant), and passport

+ Must be able to do extensive traveling

Summary:

This role will be responsible for performing various day-to-day production tasks in the manufacturing facility on the casting line. Will be responsible for monitoring the casting process and communicating with other team members as necessary to ensure that production targets are met.

Essential Functions:

Assist with the set-up and operation of casting equipment and machinery.
Support the casting process to ensure that production runs smoothly and efficiently.
Assist with routine maintenance on equipment to ensure that it remains in good working order.
Assist with maintaining accurate records of production runs, including production rates, material usage and equipment performance.
Ensure that all safety protocols are followed during casting runs and report any safety concerns to management immediately.
Collaborate with other team members to identify areas for process improvement and aid in implementing changes as necessary.

This role is responsible for acting as a testing resource for the lab, supporting the current technicians and provide testing services used to facilitate production and certification of products. This role will also assist in maintaining documentation of test results, procedures and calibration of tools and equipment.

Maintains quality records and procedures.
Performs standard testing in a lab environment when needed
Certifies physical properties to customers and generates certificate of compliance.

Job Description:

Tube Assembly Manufacturing Technicians work in a cleanroom environment and perform advanced production activities working closely with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to meet production goals. They drive continuous improvement projects for safety, quality, and manufacturing process improvements.

Essential Functions:

+ Work in a cleanroom environment assembling the high-quality product as scheduled.

+ Be a point of contact for Tube Assembly assemblers knowing all the intricacies of Tube Assembly operations.

+ Create work orders for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.

+ Create purchase requisitions for department supplies and spare parts as needed.

+ Conduct quality control checks and inspections to ensure products meet specifications.

+ Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.

+ Update work instruction documentation to include adding photos, updating procedural instructions, and fail code descriptions as needed.

+ Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve processes, resolve issues, and eliminate waste.

+ Assist with training new employees on processes and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

+ Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 0-3 years prior experience.

**Position Description:**

Assembly operations of gun systems in a team or individual environment.

**Typical Duties but not limited to the following:**

+ Perform manufacturing assembly of subassemblies and top level assemblies for gun systems.

+ Conduct teardown, evaluate and reassembly of remanufactured products.

+ Follow detailed operating procedures and collect/record data as necessary.

+ Ability to multi-task.

+ Ability to interpret blueprints.

+ Ability to follow detailed operating procedures and work instructions.

+ High attention to detail.

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ High school diploma or GED equivalent.

+ 2 years of experience working on manufacturing assemblies.

+ Mechanical aptitude preferred.

+ Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry 40 lbs.

**Salary Range:** $43,100 - $71,900

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Akima Systems Engineering (ASE) is looking for an Electronics Technician to join our team of outstanding professionals installing Electronic and Technical Security Systems in the Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) Desert Southwest (DSW) & Rocky Mountain (RMR) Regions. These regions require upgrades to the Physical Access Control System (PACS) at electrical substations, switchyards, and facilities throughout the DSW Region.

Locations: DSW Region: Arizona, California, and Nevada.

**Responsibilities**

+ Serves as an Electronics Technician comfortable working both independently or with a small team

+ Works with federal agencies on the migration, upgrades, and installation of physical security infrastructure at various electrical substation facilities

+ Responsible for installing electronic and Technical Security Systems to DoD and DoS specific guideline and requirements

+ Reads, interprets, and draws electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical schematics

+ Follows strict installation wiring guidelines and read and interpret building construction plans (blueprints)

+ Able to perform maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and testing of security wiring & power circuits

+ Be familiar with and have a working knowledge of a multitude of systems including but not limited to:

+ DoD and DoS Security Systems and requirements

+ Access Control and Intrusion Detection Systems such as Lenel, Software House, Milestone
