Job Description:
Summary:
This role functions as part of the team to meet production goals. This position will communicate production issues and take direction from the department supervisor/lead on a daily basis. This position performs a wide range of complex duties and/or operates multiple machines.
Essential Functions:
Set-up, operate and troubleshoot complex equipment to assure safe, efficient production of materials.
Assist with training peers as needed.
Perform visual inspection/measurement/testing in accordance with established procedures as needed.
Accurately record production data into the computer database.
Work with engineering and production on continuous improvement/Six Sigma projects as needed.
Communicate with various departments regarding product quality issues, material availability and processing issues.
Maintain safe work environment (5S), minor equipment maintenance and area clean-up.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent. May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of education
1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Adept at document control
Experience with quality management and materials tracking software
Achieved 4 primary certifications in Commercial Laminate, 5 primary certifications in Custom Laminate or all certifications in Finishing, Magtrex or other non-specialized work area
