    Salary Range: $70,200.00 - $105,400.00

    **About this role:**

    Wells Fargo is seeking a **Senior Lead Systems Operations Engineer** . This role requires a strong technical leader who can guide a team in performing gap analysis of applications and implementing robust alerting, alarming, and observability solutions. The Senior Lead will drive the adoption of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles across Observability, Automation, and Cloud Engineering initiatives for Branch systems.

    As a team lead, this engineer will be responsible for mentoring and developing platform engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence. Strong communication skills are essential, as is the ability to provide expert guidance and hands-on support during production incidents. The Senior Lead will play a critical role in reducing mean time to resolution (MTTR) by applying advanced troubleshooting skills and coordinating effective incident response.

    **In this role, you will:**

    + Act as an advisor to senior leadership to develop or influence platform support solutions for highly complex business and technical needs or technology initiatives

    + Lead highly complex, broad impact initiatives including provision of high-level systems consultation for the technology teams related to large scale planning of computer systems and network infrastructure for Systems Operations functional areas

    + Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking

    + Translate advanced technology experience, in-depth knowledge of the organizations tactical and strategic business objectives, the enterprise technological environment, the organization structure, and strategic technological opportunities and requirements into technical engineering solutions

    + Provide vision, direction and expertise to senior leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions

    **Desired Qualifications:**

    + Focused on risk mitigation in Cash Vault and Check Processing environments

    + Strong understanding of the OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) model

    + Ability to troubleshoot the network stack, operating system stack and middleware

    + Deep understand of java applications including how to read a thread dump and use of java flight recorder

    + Knowledge and understanding of AI capabilities
