**Position Summary / Responsibilities**
As a Data Manager (DM), the individual in this role plans and coordinates timely preparation of project documentation (such as engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, contract modifications, analyses, manuals, procedures, reports, and documentation) to ensure contract requirements are met and customer satisfaction is maintained. The Data Manager reviews contracts to determine documentation required for each phase of a project, applying knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes. As part of comprehensive contract review and implementation, the Data Manager supports the following:
+ Scheduling and recording/reporting on status
+ Accountability and traceability of formal data transmittals and follow-up Customer dispositions (approval/disapproval)
+ Quality control and technical editing in accordance with established company formats and/or contractual requirements
+ Configuration identification and control
+ Storage/retrieval systems
+ Recognition and handling of proprietary and data rights
+ Incorporation of contractually prescribed markings for managing, sharing, safeguarding, and disseminating technical documents
+ Submittals in accordance with contractually required methods/tools

**Knowledge, Skills, and Ability**
Solid understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and industry best practices for Configuration Data Management (CDM) (e.g., EIA-649, EIA-859, MIL-STD-973, MIL-HDBK-61, MAP, etc.). This includes the five fundamental elements (pillars) of CM per EIA-649 when performing DM activities. Independently demonstrates the skill and ability to perform complex professional tasks under minimal supervision.
Hard skills include intermediate proficiency in the following: Contract Interpretation, Contract Kickoff Activities, Program Planning/ Schedules, CDRL Delivery Assurance, CDRL Dispositioning, CDRL Submittal Metrics, Interface/ Communication, Tech Writing and Tools, Procedural Writing/Editing, CM/DM Plans, Change/File Management (PLM) Tool, QMS Implementation, Verification & Audits, MES/Work Packages, Contact Closeout Activities, Data Accession Lists (DALs), and Microsoft Office M365. Experience with a Product Lifecyle Management (PLM) tool such as Teamcenter is desirable.

**Liaison**
Represents organization as a primary contact on contracts or projects. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters, often requiring coordination between organizations. May develop and deliver presentations. Able to meet, communicate, and resolve any Customer concerns with Program-specific DM Plans and CM Plans, as needed.

5 Years with Bachelor’s; 3 Years with Master’s

Salary Range: $78,700.00 - $118,100.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
