This position supports integration efforts between Counseling, Medical and Health Promotion services within Campus Health.
About the Position
Campus Health Services (CHS) is seeking a Behavioral Health Provider/Counselor to join our interdisciplinary team. This role involves delivering short-term, evidence-based behavioral health interventions to a diverse patient population within a collaborative, primary care setting.
Responsibilities Include
95% - Clinical Services and Case Management
• Provide universal education and brief interventions to patients in medical services.
• Facilitate individual and couples path-to-care (PTC) brief appointments.
• Provide behavioral health consultations and counseling services to patients of medical services.
• Provide case management and documentation in support of service provision.
• Provide consultation re: behavioral health needs in a primary care setting.
• Ensure record-keeping and clinical services meet legal, ethical, and accreditation standards and follow Medical Services policies.
• Oversees program evaluation activities and monitors program fidelity.
5% - Committee Duties
• Serve on departmental and university committees as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
• Master's degree.
• Licensed or license-eligible as a counselor in the state of AZ.
*A combination of related education, experience, and training may be used as an equivalent to the above Minimum Qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications
• 3 years of relevant experience.
• Fully licensed (LPC).

Knowledge
• Knowledge of current psychological theories and integrated treatment approaches to support individuals from a holistic perspective (e.g., mind/body, social justice, etc.).
• Knowledge of development theories to understand behavior, including psychosocial, cognitive/structural, multicultural, ecological, and integrative theories.
• Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Emergency Preparedness policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of documentation of care and appropriate billing/coding.
• Knowledge of documenting services provided in an electronic health record system.
• Knowledge of patient rights, patient consent, confidentiality and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

Compensation
Salary range begins at $58,882. Annual salary commensurate with candidate's qualifications and related experience.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Fire and Security Report
Each year Northern Arizona University releases an https://in.nau.edu/police-department/annual-security-and-fire-safety-reports/. The report is a result of a federal law known as the Clery Act. The report includes Clery reportable crime statistics for the three most recent completed calendar years and discloses procedures, practices and programs NAU uses to keep students and employees safe including how to report crimes or other emergencies occurring on campus. In addition, the https://in.nau.edu/police-department/annual-security-and-fire-safety-reports/ is combined with the Annual Security Report for the NAU Flagstaff Mountain Campus as this campus has on-campus student housing.
