Responsible for ensuring that existing automation equipment and systems are functioning as intended to deliver maximum output while maintaining highest product quality. Support implementation of next generation Automation equipment and continuous improvement initiatives, under appropriate guidance and leadership
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prepare automation equipment for production operation readiness, including but not limited to pre – conditioning runs and eccentricity checks
• Ensure automated systems are set to regulation parameters, meet quality standards and all production goals.
• Ability to review automation equipment blueprints and verify against actual equipment to highlight any deficiencies.
• Develops, recommends and implements corrective action to improve efficiencies.
• Perform installation, removal, delivery, retrieval, and transport of associated machinery and equipment; assuring that adequate materials and equipment are at the required location in order to perform this work in the safest, most effective and most efficient manner possible
• Troubleshoot, problem solve, relieve operators, apply solution as required or requested and ensure processes are running within the predetermined control parameters. This will include making adjustments within allowable limits and/or evaluating operator techniques and/or evaluating materials to assure acceptable products
• Monitoring the SPC data and control charts for quality
• Develop work instructions and training manuals for production technicians and operators to ensure that appropriate procedures are being followed during day – to – day execution.
• Coordinate spares inventory management with assistance of Engineering and Maintenance to ensure minimal downtime as a result of missing spares
• Assist Engineering and Maintenance as needed on continuous improvement project activities.
