**Job Title:** Sr HSE Engineer

**Reporting to:** HSE Regional Leader

**SBU:** IA Field

**Travel requirements:** Up to 50% Travel (regionally and sites in Eastern EMEA)

**Location:** Tashkent

**Position Summary:**

The HSE leader will have demonstrated ability to develop, implement and maintain effective Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management System, maintain Honeywell HSE compliance and improve overall HSE culture. Actively collaborate and participate as a valued member of the country(ies) management team(s) to provide HSE leadership. Provide guidance and technical support to the HSE champions responsible for tactical HSE programs and process at office locations and project sites in their countries, whilst working closely with the EMEA East HSE Leader. Provide leadership and technical support to ensure compliance with applicable corporate and regulatory requirements working closely with HSE advisors in each country, while minimizing the risk of potential adverse HSE events

**Principle Responsibilities:**

+ Provide HSE assistance to implement Honeywell or local HSE Management System programs applicable for the office and field work environment in respective countries and provide HSE support to all IA FS departments, working collaboratively with stakeholders.

+ Develop and implement proactive safety measures, training, and policies to prevent accidents, injuries, and occupational illnesses in the workplace.

+ Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards, providing engineering solutions and preventive measures (travel frequently to visit IA customers in HGR covered countries) and lead deployment of Risk Assessment Tool and control plans development within the Region.

+ Leads and participates in HSE inspections, self-assessments, and audits. Presents findings to management and prepares applicable reports. Track corrective actions to closure.

+ Develop and deploy HSE procedures, training, internal and external communications in accordance with Corporate, SBG policy/procedures and regulatory requirements.

+ Supports incident investigation activities, root cause analysis, corrective action identification and closure. Works closely with leaders to measure and communicate HSE performance. Monitors trends and champions injury/illness reduction.Implements environmental management processes, including management of chemicals, waste, and pollution prevention.

+ Support the Project change management process and evaluate risk associated with business opportunities and contractual obligations.

**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:**

+ Minimum Bachelors or higher degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene or Engineering (electrical, chemical, mechanical etc.) and HSE required diploma as per Uzbekistan legislation (equivalent diploma of NEBOSH/BSC International Health and Safety is nice to have)

+ Minimum of 6+ years of working experience in the health, safety and environmental field within the Engineering, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Process industry.

+ Minimum of 2 years’ experience conducting and leading internal HSE audits, implementing or maintaining HSE management systems as per ISO 45001 and 14001.

+ Strong English/Russian language knowledge (Uzbek – nice to have). Must be able to read and understand English and local language technical and non-technical information for use in everyday decision-making processes.

+ Cognitive skills: analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as ability to provide a sound and reliable judgment in complex situations.

+ Strong influencing and negotiating skills, ability to motivate, build high performance cross-functional teams, and the capacity to lead a branch wide, geographically dispersed organization. Ensure effective implementation of HSE across the region and within supported countries.

+ Flexibility and resilience, including ability to adapt to changing/uncertain conditions. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
