We are looking for an experienced Lead Systems Engr (LSE) in ADS COE, leading the Connected programs from proposal definition through final delivery to customers and drive customer engagement for Connected Anthem program.

The successful candidate must be able to apply their experience and knowledge of Avionics System definition, design and Aircraft certification and strong project technical experience, to serve as the single point of accountability for engineering work scope. ​

Key Responsibilities

+ Conduct thorough analysis of business requirements to understand client needs. Author comprehensive system requirements document that precisely articulate functional and non-functional requirements.

+ They will own the system architecture and ensure it aligns with the program strategy and ensure selected architecture meets the agreed needs, requirements and intended functions at the integrated avionics level.

+ They are the technical decisionmaker at CCBs, JCCBs, and integration meetings.

+ They will own the system technical solutions for their program. This includes leading/planning/supporting/coordinating the technical aspects. They must be cognizant of the status of the system in all installations and/or programs. This includes export compliance, certification, cyber, and HF.

+ They own internal and customer technical design reviews and work with the Chief to get concurrence on content and design review approach.

+ They buy off on product design trade-off decisions and ensure the technical solution is consistent with the defined Organizational Strategies including cyber, HF, software re-use, FCI (common family), export compliance

+ Use your strategic thinking to help establish and implement direction for new business opportunities, products, and processes.

+ Lead the proposal team starting with defining the Statement of Work (SOW) for the program. Coordinate with cross functional teams including Chief Engineers and Product leaders to review and validate the SOW.

+ Ability to describe complex technical concepts to engineering team members as well as to business and engineering stakeholders.

+ Understand how System design and architecture impact the goals of the business. Analyze and attribute key operational requirements into cohesive design patterns.

+ Organizational and interpersonal skills, customer presentation and meeting skills

+ Ability to motivate and lead a team – local and distributed – through your example.

+ Support Product Line Business team

+ Act as a mentor to other engineers and team members, share your skills and expertise, encourage creativity and innovation.

+ Display wide degree of creativity and latitude.

+ Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events.

+ Ability to find the correct balance between demand and capacity when establishing priorities for the organization.

+ Business oriented approach to systems development.

YOU MUST HAVE

+ B.E/B. Tech/M.E/M.Tech in Electric/Electronics/Computers/Aerospace Engineering

+ Minimum 15 years of working experience in various application areas supporting avionics functions

+ At least 3 years of demonstrated experience leading programs/projects in a dynamic multi-functional environment.

+ Experience in requirement management tools such as DOORS and Configuration management tools like JIRA/ Bitbucket/GIT
