Job Title: Phlebotomist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled phlebotomist to join our team, responsible for drawing blood and performing specimen processing in a busy doctor's office setting. This role involves collecting and receiving biological specimens, accurately entering data into the computer system, preparing samples for testing, and distributing specimens to the appropriate analytical areas. The position also includes performing specified analytical testing as assigned while adhering to the Code of Conduct.

Responsibilities

+ Draw blood and perform specimen processing in a doctor's office setting.

+ Collect and receive biological specimens into the department.

+ Ensure accurate entry of specimen data into the computer system.

+ Prepare samples for analytical testing and distribute them to the proper analytical areas.

+ Handle pre and post aspects of analytical testing.

+ Perform specified analytical tests as assigned.

Essential Skills

+ At least 2-3 years of experience in phlebotomy and specimen processing.

+ Proficiency in blood draw and specimen collection.

+ Experience in patient care.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in women's health or OBGYN is preferred.

+ GED or High School Diploma required.

Work Environment

This position is located inside an OBGYN doctor's office in Scottsdale, AZ, with working hours from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday. You will work closely with medical assistants and draw blood from the physician's patients in a busy two-person office.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.36/hr.
