**Position Overview**

**Power your future with Qualus** in our Project Management department as an Assoicate Project Manager. As an Associate Project Manager, you will be responsible for the overall coordination, implementation, and support of electric utility projects to ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with company goals and strategic direction. You will assist Project Managers across all phases of execution—including engineering, design, permitting, and construction—while managing project plans, resources, budgets, and timelines. In this role, you will help maintain consistency across projects by tracking deliverables, driving quality assurance, and presenting updates, issues, and solutions to leadership. Your efforts will ensure that each project meets both operational requirements and strategic objectives.

**Responsibilities**

+ Support the planning and implementation of project

+ Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables

+ Define project tasks and resource requirements

+ Assemble and coordinate project staff

+ Manage project budget

+ Manage project resource allocation

+ Plan and schedule project timelines

+ Track project deliverables using appropriate tools

+ Provide direction and support to project team

+ Quality assurance

+ Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions to manager/lead PM

+ Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs

**Qualifications**

+ Bachelor’s degree, Electrical Engineering or Business preferred, and 2 years of Project Management experience or Associate Degree and 4 years of Project Management; non-degree must have minimum of 6 years’ experience in Project Management. A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management with utility experience accepted 1-3 years of project management or business analyst experience supporting major projects

+ Project Management applications and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (Microsoft Project, Primavera, Deltek)

+ Knowledgeable in both theoretical and practical aspects of project management

+ Experience with subcontractor management and/or procurement, technical projects and/or field construction operations

+ Experience with conflict management, risk management and change management.

+ Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, business acumen, management ability.

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).

+ Ability to lead initiatives and independent projects

+ Ability to think critically and solve problems

+ Ability to communicate effectively across the organization

+ Strong working knowledge of electric utilities or electric power industry

+ Experience with subcontractor, supply chain and/or logistics management
