**Responsibilities**

This position delivers the highest possible quality care to outpatients and their families through the use of the nursing process such as assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation. This position effectively interacts with the patients their families and health care team members prior to the procedures and involves teaching and pre-operative testing including but not limited to IV starts, blood draws, EKGs, and history taking. When necessary, the staff nurse would assist in the following procedures but are not limited to percutaneous biopsy, bronchoscopy, stress echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, cardioversions, CT's, MRI's, and any procedure requiring sedation and analgesia or contrast injection.

The position takes direction from Radiologists, Cardiologists and other physicians as well as CV Lab Manager. Incumbents in this position shall comply with all applicable laws and rules including the Dignity Health Standards of Conduct and Dignity Health policies and procedures that apply to his/her job responsibilities, seek guidance when in doubt, promptly report any potential or suspected violation of Dignity Health Standards of Conduct, Dignity Health policy or procedure or applicable laws/regulations and when requested, assist Dignity Health personnel in investigating all allegations of violation. When called upon, the incumbent shall assist in risk evaluation and work collaboratively with facility/entity leaders to implement, monitor and mitigate risk corrective plans outlined by the Compliance program.

**Qualifications**

**QUALIFICATIONS:**

+ Three years of recent ICU experience and extensive training in cardiac and balloon pump monitoring is required.

+ Completion of annual competencies and unit specific training.

+ Completion of annual safety training. Completes and maintains required unit specific training.

**Licensure:**

+ Current California Registered Nurse license (RN)

+ Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from American Heart Association

+ Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS ) for healthcare providers from American Heart Association

**PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:**

+ Graduation from an accredited nursing program. BSN degree preferred.

+ Experience in Cath Lab and/or EP lab is preferred. Hybrid experience is preferred

**Pay Range**

$85.40 - $113.77 /hour
