Job Title: Field Service EngineerJob Description
As a Field Service Engineer, you will leverage your electromechanical skills to provide exceptional service to customers. You will perform installations and troubleshooting of vacuum pumps, abatement systems, and gas and chemical delivery systems, contributing to the growth of both the service and sales divisions. You will participate in site safety programs to ensure a zero-hazard environment, develop professional customer relations, and demonstrate proficiency in understanding detailed electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. You will adhere to site fab and Subfab protocols, use test equipment effectively, and maintain regular attendance while working collaboratively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
+ Provide excellent electromechanical service to customers.
+ Install and troubleshoot vacuum pumps, abatement, and gas/chemical delivery systems.
+ Participate in site safety programs to maintain a hazard-free environment.
+ Develop and maintain professional customer relationships.
+ Understand and interpret detailed electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

+ Use test equipment, including various test meters, hand tools, and power tools.

Essential Skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High School Diploma and Associates degree (or full military equivalent)
+ 1-3 years of experience in electronic, mechanical, chemical, gas, refrigeration, or basic vacuum fields
+ Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and commitment to excellence
+ Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and demonstrate initiative
+ Competence in reading engineering drawings and electrical diagrams
+ Proficiency with test equipment, hand tools, and power tools
+ Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
+ Excellent customer interfacing and communication skills
+ Ability to work in confined or awkward spaces for extended periods
+ Completion of training for working at height with fall protection equipment
+ Successful completion of Physical Capability assessment and clean driving record
+ Willingness to travel up to 5% domestically if needed
+ Fluency in written and spoken English
Work Environment
The work environment includes 12-hour compressed shifts with both day (5:45am-6pm) and night (5:45pm-6am) shifts available after training. The role is onsite at Intel Ocotillo, involving physical workload in installing and decommissioning semiconductor tools. Work will be conducted wearing a respirator in a sub fab/cleanroom environment, requiring readiness to wear the respirator for at least 2 hours. Steel-toed boots are mandatory, with a requirement to walk 9-10 miles per day and lift up to 50 lbs. The environment includes working in a Subfab setting.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
