**Job Description**

Olsson’s South Facilities Engineering and Design Team is growing, and we’re looking for a Senior Security Systems Designer to support data center projects. This role focuses on designing and integrating security systems to protect mission-critical infrastructure, ensuring seamless access control, incursion detection, and surveillance solutions.You will collaborate with engineers, designers, and clients to develop state-of-the-art security systems, leveraging the latest in physical security technology to meet the high standards of data center protection.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Design physical layer security systems for data centers, including access control, intrusion detection, surveillance, and monitoring systems.

+ Develop detailed layouts for security infrastructure, coordinating with telecommunications and facility teams.

+ Utilize BIM/CAD tools (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks) to produce high-precision security system models.

+ Ensure compliance with industry security (ASIS) standards.

+ Work with multidisciplinary teams to integrate security systems with telecommunications and building automation.

+ Conduct site visits and risk assessments to support system implementation and project success.

+ Stay up to date on emerging security technologies and best practices for high-security environments.

+ 8+ years of experience in security system design for data centers, critical infrastructure, or commercial facilities.

+ Knowledge of access control, intrusion detection, and surveillance systems.

+ Familiarity with ASIS and other industry security standards (PSP certification is a plus).

+ Experience in CAD/BIM software (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks).

+ Strong technical problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate across disciplines.

+ Ability to interact with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
