**Responsibilities**

**Position Summary:**

Incumbent answers all incoming telephone calls in a helpful professional manner. Incumbent ensures that all surgeries and appointments for Perioperative Services are scheduled appropriately while assuring timeliness of the appointment. In addition the incumbent will provide scheduling services and preparation instructions to the patient or doctors office. Incumbent ensures appropriate equipment for each procedure is available and distributes surgical and ancillary schedules as appropriate.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Qualifications:**

+ Recent electronic hospital scheduling experience required

+ Working knowledge of Medical Terminology and scheduling software required

+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and minimum typing speed of 60 WPM required

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Associates degree in related field preferred

**Pay Range**

$29.36 - $33.33 /hour
