JOB PURPOSE:
Supervises and coordinates the work of employees who work on mechanical or fabricated parts on a floor assemble-line.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
+ Assigns work and oversees the work product and output to meet expected standards
+ Ensures employee conformance to established procedures and quality level of product and drives continuous improvements on the floor
+ Works closely with Production Manager to coordinate production personnel utilization.
+ Anticipates and determines causes of delays in production and takes appropriate action to meet shipping schedules
+ Verifies that the time and labor is recorded accurately
+ Ensures all assembly employees are properly trained and documentation is complete
+ Leads a team of people, ensuring their growth and development and ability to meet SPG and Dupont performance standards
+ Performs a variety of tasks using experience and judgment
+ Upholds SPG and Dupont vision and core values
+ Performs other duties as required
+ Responsible for training operators on how to accurately record data in the ERP System.
+ Responsible for correcting inaccurate data entered in the system by operators.
+ Responsible for conducting and recording performance evaluations of Operators
+ Utilize ERP System to make data driven decision to ensure production objectives are achieved.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Experience/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Required:
+ Ability to problem solve, identify errors and deficiencies and perform research with limited guidance
+ Ability to apply knowledge to their job function using pre-established guidelines and instructions
+ Accuracy, attention to detail, and thoroughness
+ Proficient computer skills
+ Proficient communications skills
+ A certain degree of creativity and latitude
+ Ability to comprehend and comply with company safety and quality standards
+ Ability to follow oral and written instructions
+ Responsible for understanding and complying with all SPG and Dupont safety policies and procedures.
Preferred:
+ Medical device background
+ 3 years experience in a leadership role in a related field which includes commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the production area
WORKING CONDITIONS:
+ Works under general supervision. A supervisor has authority for personnel actions and oversees most day-to-day operations of group. Light physical activity with 75% of time spent walking/moving around manufacturing floor where protective clothing is required. Balance of time (25%) is spent at computer on manufacturing floor. Position requires flexible hours and ability to work around chemicals.
