Nammo Defense Systems seeks an experienced accountable, action-oriented, and collaborative Director of Programs with a strong background in both Contract Management and Program Management. The ideal candidate will bring proven expertise in overseeing complex defense and commercial contracts and possess a strategic understanding of Department of Defense, international, and direct commercial contracting requirements. This role requires an effective leader skilled in guiding multi-disciplinary project teams across new product development and advanced technologies through ongoing production programs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program and Financial Oversight:
• This individual must have demonstrated experience in directing complex programs from inception (proposal), contract negotiations, award, and ultimately delivery.
• Manage financial performance and profitability, overseeing directives to meet contractual requirements.
Contract and Proposal Leadership:
• Lead the program and contracts team in handling specialized and complex programs.
• Oversee solicitation and contract requirements to ensure acceptability and recommend appropriate contractual language.
• Provide support for solicitation and proposal terms, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. Direct the cost/price proposal process from RFP to submission, including developing pricing models and analysis.
Risk and Compliance Management:
• Manage program risks using standardized tools to address technical, schedule, and budget issues.
• Provide guidance on FAR, DFAR, ITAR, EAR, and Uniform Commercial Code compliance and support DCAA and DCMA audits.
Negotiations and Customer Relations:
• Develop negotiation strategies, lead negotiations on pricing and contractual terms, and prepare contract certifications.
• Represent the company in meetings with government and international customers, maintaining a professional and strategic communication style.
Contract Administration:
• Monitor contract performance, manage contract changes, prepare claims, and ensure efficient contract closeout.
• Provide guidance to program teams and subcontract management on contractual terms.
Leadership and Development:
• Foster team building, mentoring, and effective communication among project teams, contributing to a culture of integrity and professionalism.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Management or related field. Advance graduate degree preferred or related experience.
• Technical Contracting Knowledge:
Advanced understanding of FAR, DOD procurement procedures, Cost Accounting Standards, ITAR/EAR, and WAWF, with strong experience in handling cost-type contracts.
• Analytical and Communication Skills:
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with proficiency in preparing financial spreadsheets and presenting to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Software Proficiency:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint), with experience in Deltek and Costpoint applications preferred.
• Security and Regulatory Compliance:
Ability to obtain a Security Clearance and ATF Responsible Person approval.
• Leadership Abilities:
Demonstrated leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills with a commitment to excellence and integrity.
