Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Center (NGMC) within Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an exceptionally talented, motivated, and creative Photolithography Engineer for our Advanced Technology Lab (ATL) - located outside of Baltimore, Maryland - where we design, manufacture, and test semiconductor products for internal and commercial production customers as well as emerging technology programs.

Northrop Grumman’s ATL semiconductor foundry provides unique capability supporting a range of production microelectronic devices (Silicon, Gallium Arsenide, Gallium Nitride, Silicon Carbide) and providing leading edge technology development in superconducting electronics. Our devices enable multiple generations of Northrop Grumman’s ground-based radars, avionic radars, and space systems.

Our multidisciplinary foundry team enables activities spanning from development to sustainment process engineering. ATL is responsible for all aspects of semiconductor technology including design, mask making, wafer fabrication, test, and assembly. Candidates must be strong team participants, have excellent communication skills, and be resourceful as well as multi-disciplinary. A strong understanding of semiconductor technology, direct process development experience and production background is essential.

Experience coordinating or leading strategic capital acquisitions and facility expansion activities is highly desired in order to support our growth roadmap. In this blended role, the ideal candidate will possess the ability to balance programmatic needs to deliver results within cost, schedule, and quality parameters while encouraging and rewarding innovative behaviors in the staff.

The Photolithography Process Engineering Manager will be responsible for employee tasking, project management, and program /engineering interface activities. Functional duties include onboarding, personnel performance assessments, time charging approval, and employee development.

**Basic Job Qualifications:**

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Physics or a related technical area with 5 years experience (3 years experience for MS) in a manufacturing or Research & Development management role.

• Direct experience with semiconductor fabrication, or technical manufacturing/production line.

• Must be able to work 2nd shift 2PM-11PM

• Experience leading teams, mentorship, and managing projects.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control, Continuous Improvement Methodology, and Design of Experiments.

• Experience in various statistical analysis tools (JMP, Minitab, etc.).

• Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

**Preferred Job Qualifications:**

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Physics or a related technical area and 8 years experience (6 years experience for MS) of Semiconductor engineering and/or Management role.

• Direct experience with semiconductor fabrication, working in a cleanroom environment.

• Experience or working knowledge of Lithography in addition to: CVD, Wets, CMP, and Dry Etch processing.

• Must be able to work 2nd shift 2PM-11PM

• Experience with superconducting principles and manufacturing.

• Experience with DoD logistical enterprise or equipment production/generation environment.

• Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to identify manufacturing improvements, manage change, and implement solutions.

• Ability and desire to assume a technical leadership role within the organization.

• Experience coordinating with the fab operations, maintenance, and facilities teams.

• Experience developing and evaluating technical specifications for equipment procurement.

• Knowledge of capital equipment purchasing.

• Experience in various MES systems – Factory Works or similar systems.

• Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance.

**Salary Range:** $109,800 - $164,600

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
