As a Senior Manager Sales Medicare, you will manage a small sales team and collaborate with the larger Medicare sales team. You will be in the field to observe and coach the sales team while building relationships with office leaders and managers. You will also work in a remote home office setting; to communicate strategy, issues, and activity of the team. You will also analyze metrics, reporting, sales goal performance, and referral activity.
**Please note this role requires Phoenix, Arizona Metro Area residency.** This role primarily works Monday-Friday working in Arizona Business Hours. Please note during the Annual Enrollment Period (AEP), October 1st-December 7th, hours will be longer and there is generally no PTO approved. POSITION SUMMARY
The primary purpose of this position is to lead and manage functions and responsibilities within the Health Plan Sales Department and meet sales targets. The Sales Senior Manager works within the Banner Medicare program and is accountable for providing leadership, channel oversight and support across Medicare plans available for sale. This position assists in the development and implementation of standards, systems, policies, and procedures in alignment with organizational strategic initiatives that are focused on meeting sales targets and financial outcomes.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Lead, manage and develop staff and other contracted partners to meet sales and operational targets. Create, implement and manage the annual strategic work plan that supports the division and corporate direction. Create, maintain and disseminate all related policies and procedures.
2. Assist in the development of the annual budget and manage within the approved budget guidelines. Create, implement and manage strategic sales campaigns.
3. Establish, implement and manage sales goals / targets to ensure that revenue projections are met. Establish, implement and manage sales strategy and tactics. Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and strategic partners.
4. Develop and execute a training program that includes at minimum all required yearly training as well as ongoing training for contracted partners.
5. Provide reports and analysis of results to appropriate management and leadership staff.
6. Ensure compliance with State and Federal laws, rules, regulations and applicable contracts.
7. Chair sales meetings, agent councils and Joint Operations Committee as assigned. Participate on all other assigned and relevant teams and committees.
8. This position works under supervision, prioritizing data from multiple sources to provide quality care and support. Incumbents work in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment with a strong focus on customer service. Interacts with staff at all levels throughout the organization.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in business or a related field. A minimum of five years progressively responsible management experience of sales staff, preferably in healthcare, or another related field. A current Accident/Health Producers license or obtained within 90 days of hire date. Experience in developing and implementing marketing and sales strategies.
High level of competency in leading teams, organizational skills, detail orientation, priority and time management. Project management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to include the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and all types of vendors. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Masters degree preferred. Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office suite of products. Knowledge and experience with AHCCCS (Medicaid) and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and managed care are preferred. Multiple language competency preferred.
Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Innovaccer, and Excel.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
