The Enterprise Functions Technology (EFT) group provides technology solutions and support for Risk, Audit, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Corporate Properties, and Stakeholder Relations business lines. In addition, EFT provides unique technology solutions and innovation for Wells Fargo Technology, Enterprise Shared Services, and Enterprise Data Management. This combined portfolio of applications and tools are continually engineered to meet the challenges of stability, security, scalability, and speed.

Human Resources Technology provides technology support for employee focused applications and processes, including payroll, benefits, learning and recruiting. We elevate and enhance the employee experience through smart solutions and tooling, enabling our teams to be more productive.

We are seeking a Software Engineering Manager who will manage a team of engineers supporting key deliverables within Employee Documents, Workday Service Management (Core HCM, Payroll, Time & Absence), and telephony.

**In this role, you will:**

+ Manage a team of individual contributor engineers and less experienced engineering managers

+ Ensure the craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by the teams or third party providers

+ Engage in mentoring and guiding the professional and technical development of more experienced engineers

+ Identify and recommend opportunities for developing product functional and technical strategies for the domains, as well as the development of actionable short and long-term product roadmaps, by partnering with business product managers, lead systems architects, and more experienced engineers

+ Make decisions and resolve issues regarding strategic products of engineering teams to meet business objectives

+ Oversee engineering teams to deliver commitments aligned to strategic product priorities

+ Interpret and develop security, stability, and scalability within key areas of technology risk

+ Collaborate and consult with agile teams and product managers to drive outcomes

+ Interact directly with third party vendors and technology service providers

+ Manage allocation of people and financial resources for technology engineering

+ Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent

**Required Qualifications:**

+ 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

+ 4+ years of experience in a hands-on technical role such as software engineer or similar role

+ 2+ years of Leadership experience

+ 2+ years leading or developing in Workday or similar Software as a Service Human Capital Management systems (SaaS HCM)

+ 2+ years of Agile experience

**Desired Qualifications:**

+ 2+ years of experience with Workday HCM

+ Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

+ A BS/BA degree or higher

+ Hands-on experience working on Scrum / Agile team

+ Knowledge and understanding of HR technology solutions, products and requirements

+ Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

+ Ability to manage effectively in virtual environment where key team members and partners are in various time zones and locations

+ Ability to take initiative, identify opportunities and implement change

**Job Expectations:**

+ This is an on-site job. Our leaders are expected to lead by example by work on site at least three days per week, on average.

**Pay Range**

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$111,100.00 - $197,500.00
