Insurance Systems Development Manager

As a leader in the IT department, and an employee responsible for organization-wide systems and information.

1. Reasonable and predictable attendance is essential.

2. Running Regular checks on network and data security

3. Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems.

4. Developing and implementing IT policy and best practice guide for the organization

5. Conducting regular system audits

6. Running and Sharing regular operation system reports with senior staff

7. Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT Projects, including system updates, upgrades, migrations, and outages

8. Managing and reporting on allocation of IT budget

9. Providing direction for IT Team Members

10. Identifying opportunities for team training and skills advancement

11. Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems

12. Manage information technology and computer systems

Requirements:

1. Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations

2. Manage IT staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance

3. Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures

4. Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy

5. Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time

6. Audit systems and assess their outcomes

7. Preserve assets, information security and control structures

8. Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness

9. Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems.

Education:

+ Bachelor of Science degree in Business or a related field (Master’s degree preferred) or the equivalent in experience.

+ Courses in related fields.

+ 10 years experience

Skills:

+ Proven working experience as an IT Manager or relevant experience

+ Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems

+ Expertise in data centre management and data governance

+ Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation

+ Ability to manage personnel.
