A Yoga / Meditation Facilitator instructs various levels of _hatha_ yoga classes and related yoga and meditation offerings. They are responsible for teaching group and one/one sessions of yoga and meditation, and participate fully in the functioning of the yoga/meditation department and the resort organization. A Yoga Facilitator always ensures a high quality guest experience at Miraval.

An outgoing personality as well as a maturity of practice is required to teach in this environment. Instructors are selected because of their passion and authentic ability to inspire students. This is balanced with a personal commitment to one’s own growth and development. It is essential that the teacher be skilled and also willing to learn about the “teaching of mindfulness” through guest feedback, peer review, and managerial supervision.

**_Education and Experience:_**

+ Minimum 200 hour Yoga Teacher Certification, 500 hours preferred

+ Minimum of 4 years of prior in-person teaching experience with various populations and 5 years of personal practice

+ Knowledge and experience with formal meditation practices, such as Mindfulness, Pranayama, Lovingkindness, Yoga Nidra, Walking Meditation and Sound-baths preferred

+ Excellent public speaking skills

+ CPR/1st Aid Certification required

+ Familiarity and willingness to teach a wide range of asana traditions

+ Requires behind the scenes attention such as cleaning and organizing

+ Ability to work as a team
