**Responsibilities**

In keeping with the Dignity Health core values, the RN First Assistant reports to the Director of Surgical Services. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation and documentation of surgical patients. Overall responsibility is for the nursing care of patients and for maintaining standards of nursing practice and optimal outcomes, including supervision of OR Technicians. Directly assists surgeon intraoperatively, assists with patient positioning and directing other surgical team members while practicing perioperative nursing.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Qualifications:**

+ 2 years Perioperative Practice

+ California RN License

+ BLS certification

+ ACLS certification

+ CNOR certification

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ BSN degree

+ RNFA certification or equivalent

**Pay Range**

$51.66 - $74.91 /hour
