**Responsibilities**

Under the general direction of the Vice President, Philanthropy of the Foundation, the Grants Coordinator supports the French Hospital Medical Center (FHMC) mission of wellness, health and healing. The Grants Coordinator carries out the duties of the position in a manner that exemplifies the Dignity Health and FHMC core service values of Dignity, Justice, Collaboration, Excellence and Stewardship. The Coordinator is a vital member of the Foundation development team that supports the Foundation mission to provide funding support for FHMC programs and services. The Grants Coordinator provides development support and executes the Foundation's program of grant solicitation for private and corporate funders. The Coordinator is responsible for targeted proposals to prospective organizational and foundation funders based upon the Medical Center's annual strategic priorities. The Coordinator is also responsible for implementing the Foundation's direct mail appeal program and assists with fund raising event planning. In addition, the Coordinator supports communications and publication development for the Foundation, handles and supervises donor data base management, cash handling and financial reporting duties.

**Qualifications**

+ Three years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare fund development.

+ A Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing or a related field.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

+ High level of computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, .

+ Exceptional interpersonal skills, particularly as an effective collaborator with professional staff and volunteers.

+ Works efficiently and independently utilizing good judgment and time management in executing multiple projects.

+ Creative ability to implement programs in new and effective ways.

**Pay Range**

$27.77 - $40.27 /hour
