**Responsibilities**

**About This Position**

In keeping with the Marian Medical Center health care philosophy the Registered Nurse manages quality patient care through the nursing process. Coordinates plan of care with the health care team. Assumes leadership role for unit personnel to prepare and assist them with their responsibilities. Employees are responsible for completion of unit competency assessments annual safety review CPR and renewal of license by maintaining continuing education units as required by hospital policy. In addition to these major responsibilities the Registered Nurse may be assigned other duties.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Qualifications:**

+ Registered Nurse with a minimum of 4 years of experience at a Community or Regional Level Newborn ICU work experience. Other candidates to be considered on an individual basis and attributes.

+ Current California Registered Nurse license.

+ Registered nurse with 3 years of experience.

+ Current approved health care provider CPR certification.

+ Current ACLS.

+ Current NRP.

+ Applies the nursing process in the provision of care to the full compliment in gestational ages and pathophysiological and psychosocial complexities in the NICU environment. Demonstrated competence in the understanding and use of various technologies in the critical care environment.

+ Competence in attending deliveries and internal transports.

+ Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Greater than 5 years of experience

+ BSN, NICU certification and/or Masters degree.

+ Certificate NICU National certification in NICU.

+ Stable certification.

+ Transport certification.

+ Certificate LACTCON.

+ Demonstrates experience with advanced skill practice in the placement of Umbilical line, PICC lines and needle thoracentesis and intubation.

**Pay Range**

$52.87 - $78.89 /hour
