**Shifts:** 1 st: 5 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

2 nd : 1 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

**What’s a typical day as a CNC Machine Operator? You’ll be:**

+ Test fire and check pressed parts, dye check parts to determine quality and make necessary adjustments

+ Competently operate all essential machines and/or equipment in the work cell

+ Monitor all kiln firing processes, intervene as needed to ensure superior firing results

+ Safely and properly perform power checks, change glow bars as needed

+ Troubleshoot general problems in the area including machine or equipment problems as needed

Can safely operate all machines in the shop performing very complex operations in producing prototype parts, production parts, modifications and repairs to existing parts and assemblies, and/or fabricating parts from steels, stainless steels, aluminum, plastics and other non-metals.

A Machinist Technician job is available with our client in Scottsdale, AZ. As a Machinist Technician, you will work from basic drawings, process sheets and sketches to perform production tasks, which

may include the cutting and shaping of metal to precision dimensions. To be considered for this role, you will have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent and 1 year or experience. Due to the nature of the work performed in this facility, US Citizenship is required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

* May operate light-duty bench or floor machine tools and equipment.

* Works from basic drawings, process sheets and sketches to perform production tasks, which may include the cutting and shaping of metal to precision dimensions.

* Sets up machines, makes adjustments and performs maintenance on machines.

* Checks work using prescribed gauges, jigs and fixtures to measure close tolerances.

* Monitors and verifies quality in accordance with statistical process or other control

procedures.

* Interfaces with employees and managers within the department.

* Works under supervision and instructions given for routine work, and detailed instructions

given for new activities or special assignments.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILL / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

* Must be a US Citizen.

* High School Diploma or GED equivalent and 1 year or experience.

* Basic material knowledge.

* Able to use mechanical hand and simple power tools.

* Ability to read and follow instructions including Engineering and CAD drawings.

* Basic interpersonal skills to cooperate and work effectively with others.

* Basic communication skills, both verbal and written.

* Basic computer skills.
