The principal duties and responsibilities will be:

+ Following guidelines and instruction for installation per Standard Process

+ Ability to troubleshoot basic electrical issues

+ Participating in practical problem solving & heat related issues

+ Handling equipment used during installation process

+ Performing minor maintenance of Heater Systems

+ Assisting in developing documentation to standardize processes

+ Heat Tracing of Process lines

+ Following instructions of Team Lead regarding work for the day/week

+ Safety compliance

+ Wiring & Running Wire, Insulation and Installation

+ Ability to use a computer and have working knowledge of Microsoft systems

Requirements:

+ Minimum of 1 year of technical related experience

+ Ability to work at heights up to 30 feet either on or off a ladder

+ Ability to work in tight or confined spaces for extended amount of time

+ Ability to lift up to 50lbs

+ High School Diploma/GED

+ Must be flexible to work in Chandler, AZ as well as Phoenix, AZ when needed

Preferred:

+ Mechanical equipment assembly experience

+ OSHA 10 certification

+ Sub Fab/Fab environment experience

+ Willingness to work overtime as needed

+ Desire/ability to learn new skills and work in a constructive manner

Job Summary

Summary: Performs a variety of maintenance duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities May Include:

+ Maintains, repairs, cleans and operates the plant, shops, mechanical areas, exterior grounds and campus facilities.

+ Performs basic maintenance duties and repairs as assigned; contacts supervisors, skilled trade vendors or on-call personnel as instructed.

+ Updates work statuses, timing, and costs of repairs using a variety of company tech systems.

+ Provides fleet maintenance support including but not limited to welding, plumbing, electrical, food truck kitchen maintenance, driving of vehicles, on campus fleet troubleshooting support, generator fixes, and general maintenance.

+ Assists in making decisions on all minor and routine repairs; reports major problems to the supervisor, foreman or journeyman.

+ Cleans sidewalks and parking areas; picks up and disposes of trash, debris, branches and similar items.

+ Operates electrical and gasoline-powered equipment.

+ Maintains equipment; performs minor equipment repairs using power and hand tools.

+ Performs a variety of other unskilled or semi-skilled tasks such as minor carpentry, plumbing, painting, minor electrical work, lamp changing and drywall maintenance.

+ Responds to emergency problems in the facility; performs emergency repairs as needed.

+ Maintains logs, performs rounds and completes maintenance work orders, tests and inspections.

+ Reads, comprehends and transmits complicated detailed instructions verbally and in writing.

+ Serves as a member of facility's emergency response team.

Qualifications May Include:

Working Conditions:

About the maintenance technician position at Paseo on University:

We’re looking for a talented maintenance technician who will be responsible for addressing an array of apartment and property maintenance duties as specified by the maintenance supervisor and/or property manager, and for maintaining the highest standards in customer service and curb appeal of the assigned property.

+ Perform various maintenance functions including repairs to the following: electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, grounds maintenance as dictated by state guidelines.

+ Perform general carpentry duties such as wallboard repair, countertop/cabinet replacement, finish carpentry, window/glass repair, door/lock repair, and ceramic tile repair.

The Job: Our Maintenance Technicians must be willing and able to learn quickly in a fast-paced, team environment. Maintenance Technicians may work with any of the following:

+ Electrical

+ Plumbing

+ Carpentry

+ Drywall

+ Painting

+ Appliances

+ Exterior structures

+ Swimming pools

+ General Maintenance

+ Customer Service

The Details: Our Service Technicians should have:

+ Basic tools for maintenance work.

+ Industry experience

+ Team player

+ CPO & EPA Certification (preferred)

+ Minimum 1-year multifamily maintenance experience

+ Valid Driver's License

+ Must be able to perform general/routine inspections and identify possible issues.

+ Must be willing to go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction.

+ Must be able to apply efficient and effective solutions (ex: do the hard work now so you don't have to later)

+ Must be able to work on a team and collaborate with others.

+ Will work at multiple properties as needed.

+ Maintenance background preferred.

+ Pool and HVAC experience is a plus.
