Primary tasks will be associated with the unique bonding and assembly processes used in the production of our spaceships air frame and installation and check-out of aircraft systems. This position will involve setting up assembly fixturing, drilling, fay sealing, wet fastener installation, trimming/fitting of components, and other dynamic and exciting spacecraft manufacturing operations. Focus on timeliness and execution of tasks and deliverables every day. Support the company strategy by holding ourselves and one another accountable for getting the work done.

**Work Schedule:** 4/10 Onsite Monday through Thursday Day Shift

**Responsibilities**

+ Fabricate and Assemble Composite parts and assemblies of varying complexities and sizes

+ Ability to safely and correctly Utilize Shop Tools/Machinery to include drills, die grinder, and calipers

+ Ability to safely and correctly drill a variety of hole sizes in both composite and metal structures, including composite/metal stack-ups

+ Hands-on with multiple fastener types including, but not limited to; Hi-Lite, Hi-Lok, Composi-Lok

+ Hands‐on aircraft manufacturing with either/both composite and metallic airframes

+ Adhere to set directions and guidelines from team leader to support collaboration across teams to complete project

+ Assist in supporting the manufacturing team in installation, design, development, and testing

+ Adhere to assembly instructions to ensure accurate completion of complex project assemblies

+ Continuously practice safety behavior and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) awareness/prevention; adhere to regulatory protocols and rules

+ Work collaboratively to achieve goals and/or complete assigned tasks

**Required Skills and Experience**

+ High School Diploma or equivalent

+ Minimum of two years of experience as a technician in an aerospace or equivalent high-reliability field

+ Experience with hands‐on aircraft manufacturing with composite and/or metallic airframes

+ Aircraft fabrication and assembly or equivalent experience

+ Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and/or models on paper or digital

Job Summary

The Program Operations position is the primary interface between the Program Office Integrated Program Leadership Team and the Factory Leadership Team, responsible for communicating all Program requirements to the Strategic Make Centers (SMCs) and manufacturing sites. Reporting to the Program Operations lead, this Individual will collaborate with Program Management and be the liaison to the SMCs ensuring that all program needs are integrated and supported to meet program commitments. This position involves direct support of manufacturing activities for a weapon system spanning multiple contracts. The Test Environments, Manufacturing Engineer /Fabrication Shop Lead will be the main POC for incoming program fabrication work in our satellite shops. This lead role will directly support satellite shops by reviewing incoming jobs and working with the customer to clarify and validate job requirements. This role is responsible for raw material planning, creating manufacturing travelers, identify needed tooling and fixtures, resource planning, coordinating with other shop locations, and setting the overall shop priorities and schedule.

This role requires collaborating in a dynamic, fast-paced, product development, integrated team environment. The position interacts daily with support technicians, engineers, technical leads, and other shop sites to successfully meet the prototype development and test manufacturing needs of our internal and external program customers.This position is onsite.

What You Will Do:

+ Analyzes and modifies product designs in collaboration with Design Engineering to assure manufacturability. Work with underdeveloped drawing packages, basic sketches, released drawing packages, as well as CAD solid models

+ Responsible for all aspects of fabrication including, safe equipment operation, part inspection, managing the machinist’s workload, supporting customers’ schedules, delegating, and coordinating workflow as required

+ Determines and directs other technical matters required to make a given product according to the desired volume, timetable, cost, quality level, and other required specifications in a multi-program, data and access-controlled environment

+ Report to the Mechanical Prototyping and Fabrication Section Lead within the Engineering Prototyping and Fabrication Department (the Bike Shop)

The pay range for this position is $69,000 - $124,600 with **anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range** and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law.
