    **Primary purpose of the position:**

    Performs tasks and provides services to support the plant's production goals, overall business plans and objectives as directed.

    **Essential Responsible Areas:**

    1. Complies with established job safety practices, policies and procedures as specified in plant and corporate directives for the safe performance of the work assignment, in accordance with the guidelines of the food safety system. This includes initiating and reviewing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for area of responsibility as directed.

    2. Installs, troubleshoots, repairs and maintains high-speed, industrial process equipment for can and/or end making, power, lighting, control, and PLC logic controls for all production process and control equipment. This includes: all electrical power (24 to 600 volts), automation controllers, VFDs, transducers, proximity sensors, and inspection devices.

    3. Identifies and designs process improvements for inefficiencies and potential electrical problems and coordinates through supervisor to implement.

    4. Diagnoses causes of malfunctions and corrects through field measurements and programmable logic control software. Ensures efficient equipment operation through proper line control programming and proactively suggests methods to improve line performance.

    5. Maintains effective communication and documentation through review of and entries to daily log books, updates to wiring schematics (paper and ACAD), and computer program change forms, (whether maintained on paper or Microsoft Office formats), as well as shift turn over meetings.

    6. Determines all supplies needed for each assignment.

    7. Work assigned schedule or 12-hour shifts, rotating days and nights, Monday through Sunday, working hours may vary as specified by management. Incumbent must be able to work overtime on a regular basis and/or be on call as directed by management.

    8. Complies with environmental regulations when using, dispensing, or handling hazardous and non-hazardous materials and wastes. Recognizes waste streams and minimizes waste generation through prudent use of materials, proper disposal and segregation as directed during training or by the EC, EFP/EM. Understands and

    The MISS program is a comprehensive initiative aimed at supporting the U.S. Department of State’s operations in Iraq. In addition to providing ongoing base operations and Life Support Services, KBR will provide differentiated advisory and consultancy capabilities to the Iraqi Government with a focus on creating an effective program environment to support delivery of strategic economic planning, strategy development, feasibility studies, technical reviews and large-scale project management. Under this contract KBR will provide facility maintenance, procurement, critical supply functions, along with food services, base camp operations, renovations, construction, and medical services.

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Master Electrician will be based at a U.S. Facility in Baghdad, Iraq and serve the Operations and Maintenance Support Services (OMSS) contract in support of the U.S. Department of State. This position will be responsible for operation and maintenance of electric power generation and distribution equipment and will report to the Power Plant Supervisor. The Master Electrician will be responsible for maintenance and repair of the 11kv power grid, and its associated equipment throughout the site. Low Voltage electrical projects will also be required at times. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.

    Please note: This position is located in Baghdad, Iraq and is contingent on award.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Lead an international team of electricians in electrical upgrades and maintenance at the BEC.

    + Maintain KBR’s Zero Harm Initiative, ensuring a safe workplace and that safety is the highest priority.

    + Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.

    + Comply with all Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals. Provide information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation.

    + Main task will be to ensure the entire 11Kv power grid and its associated equipment is operating correctly.     + Assisting the 26MW Power Plant when requested with PM duties such as insulation testing, diode testing, HHRG inspections, cleaning of equipment and annual switchgear maintenance.

    + Test and repair medium voltage instrumentation and controls, switchgear and protection systems as needed.

    + Preform Insulation Testing, High Potential Testing and Test Transformer Ratio Values.

    + Maintain and repair Automatic Transfer Switches as needed.

    + New construction of power generation sites ensuring a code compliant, safe installation.

    + Interpret electrical diagrams, manuals, and schematics for the site / specialized equipment. Diagnose, analyze, and repair faults throughout the MV system.

    + Responsible for ensuring replacement parts are in stock in case of equipment failures or blown fuses.

    + Report any malfunctions or lack of compliance with Statement of Work (SOW) to the Electrical Supervisor. If the Electrical Supervisor cannot resolve the issue the Chief Engineer should be notified.

    + Assist in diagnosing issues with switchgear PLC control and auxiliary control systems when required.

    + Perform fault analysis, implement ANSI, IEEE, and IEC standards.

    + Perform condition assessments for numerous transformers, electrical insulation, switches, and breaker panels to identify problems before they lead to system failure.

    + Assist in developing Statements of Work when requested, to including diagrams and specifications in compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and National Electric Code (NEC) standards.

    The MISS program is a comprehensive initiative aimed at supporting the U.S. Department of State’s operations in Iraq.     POSITION SUMMARY

    The Master Electrician Supervisor will be based on site in Iraq and will serve the Operations and Maintenance Support Services (OMSS) contract in support of the U.S. Department of State. This position will be responsible for taking ownership of all facility electric and related projects to include maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and related O&M electrical projects. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    **What You Will Do**

    + Removal, repair and installation of electrical components, electrical systems, analysis and diagnosis, advanced troubleshooting and systems/process optimization; may mentor or train other electrical workers

    + Safe completion of routine and non-routine repairs and construction

    + Perform preventative maintenance including installation, repair and troubleshooting of industrical electrical and/or instrumentation equipment (i.e. substations, power distribution systems, switchgear motors, motor controls, systems and components, process controls, instrumentation and pneumatic equipment)

    + Experience in troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of electrical circuits and connected equipment; this includes the ability to read, understand and apply information from technical manuals, prints, and schematics for trouble shooting and repair

    + Effective written and verbal communication skills to satisfy training, safety, and electronic message transmission policies of the company

    + Must have minimum personal tools as described by the department tool list or be able to obtain them within 90 days of hire date
